KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE – The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) is pleased to announce thatROCKFORDE (‘Rocky’) D. KING of the law firm Egerton, McAfee, Armistead & Davis, P.C., has successfullyachieved recertification as a civil trial and civil practice advocate. The NBTA was formed out of a strongconviction that both the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designedspecifically to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney’s experience and expertise in the practice of trial law.

Rockforde (‘Rocky’) D. King earned his undergraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. Mr. King is licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee and has been admitted to practice in the Easter, Middle and West Tennessee United States District Courts and in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been involved in numerous trials and civil actions over the past thirty years. He is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, and numerous other specialty legal defense organizations. He has spoken and published on numerous topics involving employment law and product liability law and premises liability law matters.
Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board certified, and Rockforde (‘Rocky) King is a member of a very select group who has taken the time to prove competence in their specialty area and earn board certification.
