Melissa Carrasco Featured Article – KBA October DICTA Publication

The wait is finally over! After leaving us on a cliff hanger in the month of September, Egerton McAfee Attorney Melissa Carrasco completes telling the important story of Charity Adams in the October Edition of KBA’s DICTA Publication. Charity’s intellect, family background, and passion for civil rights all aided her in leading the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. Their efforts not only got letters and packages to desperately lonely soldiers during the war, but it also initiated “the first, significant policy shift away from sexism and racism.” To read the entirety of this inspiring historical story, click here.
