Overview
Peyton graduated summa cum laude from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in the Interdisciplinary Studies of Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. While attending American University, Peyton clerked for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in the spring of 2018 and was a member of the American University Scholars Research Program.
Following her undergraduate studies, Peyton went on to graduate magna cum laude from The University of Tennessee College of Law, where she served as an Acquisitions Editor on Tennessee Law Review and Research Assistant for Professor Amy Morris Hess. She earned Certificates of Academic Excellence in Transactional Tax Planning, Wills Clinic, Contract Drafting, Civil Procedure, Legal Process, and Torts.
Peyton spent three semesters serving as a Student Attorney and Law Clerk in the Wills Clinic, and during her final semester at The University of Tennessee College of Law, Peyton was honored to receive the Transactional Clinic Student Award and the Volunteer of Distinction Award for Extraordinary Professional Promise.
After graduating from Tennessee, Peyton earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as a Graduate Editor on Florida Tax Review and was awarded a Certificate of Academic Excellence in Taxation of Gratuitous Transfers.
When not in the office, Peyton enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Vols with her husband, Tyler, and their dog, Fitzgerald.
