Heather, a northwest Tennessee native, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.S. in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance. She earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law where she graduated summa cum laude with a concentration in business transactions. Heather earned the Concentration in Business Transactions Award out of her graduating class.
While attending the University of Tennessee College of Law, Heather served as a Research Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and as an Acquisitions Editor of Transactions: Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Heather was a member of many organizations, served as a Student Ambassador for the College of Law, and worked as a research assistant.
Heather is active in the legal community and is currently a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (TLAW), and East Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women (ETLAW). She serves as co-chair of the Hunger and Poverty Relief Committee of the Knoxville Barristers and chair of the Technology Committee of TLAW. Additionally, Heather represents TLAW as an Invited Guest on the Diversity Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the TBA. Heather is also a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Tennessee Alumni Network for the Knoxville Region, and she volunteers her time as a tnAchieves Mentor.
Heather and her husband currently reside in Knoxville with their two Miniature Schnauzers, Marco and Pippi.
